ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Secretary Mehreen Bhutto has said that government has taken certain steps to provide free medicines to government employees and a board has been formed to increase medical allowance.
Answering to a call attention notice in the National Assembly she said that government was providing all medicines in wards to the employees in government owned hospitals while this facility was not available for outpatients but according to laws employees get Rs 500 per month as medical allowance, which is not sufficient.
Further she said that government has formed a board to ensure availability of free medicines for out patient and OPD would provide one month?s free medicines to the out door patients later on she told government has provided relief to people by controlling medicine?s prices and VIP culture is no more in the country.
